Attività di produzione industriale allineate a processi a basse emissioni di carbonio, efficienza energetica e uso circolare dei materiali.
La manifattura è uno dei settori più ampi nella Tassonomia UE, con 16 attività economiche che coprono un'ampia gamma di produzione industriale. Dal cemento e l'acciaio alle batterie e l'idrogeno, questo settore affronta le catene del valore più ad alta intensità di carbonio nell'economia europea.
Ogni attività manifatturiera ha i propri criteri tecnici di vaglio. A seconda dell’attività, i criteri possono riguardare l’intensità delle emissioni, l’efficienza dei materiali, le prestazioni dei prodotti o funzioni abilitanti; fanno fede i dettagli dell’atto delegato vigente.
I criteri dell’economia circolare possono applicarsi a determinate attività manifatturiere e vanno verificati attività per attività. Quando un criterio DNSH di adattamento applicabile richiama l’allegato A, la valutazione dei rischi fisici è proporzionata alla scala e alla durata prevista dell’attività; non costituisce un obbligo generale per ogni impianto produttivo.
