Productie
Industriële productieactiviteiten afgestemd op koolstofarme processen, energie-efficiëntie en circulair materiaalgebruik.
Productie is een van de grootste sectoren in de EU-Taxonomie, met 16 economische activiteiten over een breed scala aan industriële productie. Van cement en staal tot batterijen en waterstof, deze sector richt zich op de meest koolstofintensieve waardeketens in de Europese economie.
Elke productieactiviteit heeft eigen technische screeningcriteria. Afhankelijk van de activiteit kunnen die betrekking hebben op emissie-intensiteit, materiaalefficiëntie, productprestaties of faciliterende functies; de details staan in de geldende gedelegeerde handeling.
Criteria voor de circulaire economie kunnen op bepaalde productieactiviteiten van toepassing zijn en moeten per activiteit worden gecontroleerd. Wanneer een toepasselijk DNSH-criterium voor adaptatie naar bijlage A verwijst, is de beoordeling van fysieke risico’s evenredig aan de schaal en verwachte levensduur van de activiteit; daaruit volgt geen algemene verplichting voor elke productiefaciliteit.
